Q. Will your Executive presentations work with a multimedia projector?

A. Yes they will. For best results you should use a good quality XGA projector. An XGA projector has a resolution of 1024 X 768 pixels. Our presentations are 900 X 400 pixels so you get an excellent widescreen effect.

You can also use a WVGA projector. This has a resolution of 854 X 480 so you lose 23 pixels at each side but this is hardly noticeable and the results are still excellent. A SVGA projector has a resolution of 800 X 600. You lose 50 pixels at each side and this can be noticeable in some circumstances.

You should also consider the brightness of the projector. You can get projectors with ratings as low as 700 lumens. This is fine for use in a small dark room but the images will look washed out in large rooms or where there is ambient light. We would suggest a minimum of 1200 lumens and - for best results - a rating of 1600 lumens or higher.

Q. Do I need PowerPoint with your presentation software?

A. No. Our presentation software is a stand-alone product. After you download it from our website it will install on your computer and you are ready to go. You don't need any other software package. However, if you buy one of our PowerPoint animations you wil need a copy of PowerPoint to run it.

Q. Do I need special fonts on my computer?

A. No. The special fonts used in the presentations are build in. You don't have to worry about them.

Q. Can I edit the graphics in the presentation?

A. No, the graphics are built in. After you type your text into the "create" form it is read by the presentation software and is merged with the animated graphics on the screen.

Several of our Corporate presentation packages have an options module. That means you can select from several possible animated scenes and you can even do this while the presentation is being given! Most of these will also allow you to add in your own images to specific scenes.

Q. Is there a limit to the number of characters on each line?

A. Yes there is. The exact number will differ slightly for different presentations.

There are two reasons for this. The first is aesthetic. The text has to fit into the animated graphics and it can't do this properly if the line is too long.

The second reason is more important. Experts believe that if you put too many words on the screen you will distract the audience from your argument. Each line of text should contain just a few words or a phrase to establish the point you are making. They should be similar to the headlines in a newspaper or magazine.

Q. Can I change the structure in the presentation?

A. No, the structure is programmed into the presentation. However, even where it is possible to change it (for example in high-end Corporate and Boardroom presentations) we strongly advise our clients not to do so.

There are several reasons why this structure was selected. The main reason it that it conforms with current understanding of the best way to get people to understand and remember your message.

First they need a quick overview to establish a frame of reference. Then they need details to convince them that each key point is credible. Finally, they need to be reminded of the big picture again. The structure sets the number of key points that can be presented because research has shown that offering too many points will confuse the audience and reduce the probability of agreement but too few may not be enough to convince them.

Q. What does an "Autorun" presentation mean?

A. A standard presentation will pause at each point and you must click the left mouse button (or the equivalent button on the remote control) to allow it to move on. The autorun version will pause for a few seconds on each point and will then move on without any intervention. It will also loop back to the start each time.

Q. How do I pay for the software?

A. We accept credit cards or PayPal payments. Add your items to the basket and then, when you are ready, go to the checkout. You will be asked to input some details. Then you will be transferred to the secure PayPal site for the actual payment. You do not need a PayPal account to make your payment.

Q. How do I know that my credit card details are secure?

A. We do not take or process your credit card details on this site. You are transferred to the well-know PayPal site for the actual payment. They provide us with a secure page for your transaction. You do not need a PayPal account to make your payment.

Before submitting your credit card details (on any site) you should make sure the site you are on is the right one (in this case it will be www.paypal.com). Next, make sure that the page is secure. You can tell by checking for the little lock icon and also by checking that the site's URL starts with "https" instead of "http". You can also check that the page's digital certificate is valid. You do this by clicking on the lock icon.

Q. How do I get my software?

A. When we receive confirmation of your payment click back to our site and we will send you an email confirming your purchase. It will include a link. Click on this link, follow the prompts, and the software will be downloaded to your computer.

Please note that the link will expire after 24 hours so make sure you download the software before then.
